15 interesting facts about dreams


My 5-year-old son has been sharing his dreams with me lately. Most of them involve him having superhero powers and my guess is it's due to his discovery of Mario and all things Nintendo. Our recent conversations had me thinking about dreams, and I came across this post 15 interesting facts about dreams.
  • Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream is forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone.
  • The most common emotion experienced in dreams is anxiety. Negative emotions are more common than positive ones.
  • Studies have been done on many different animals, and they all show the same brain waves during dreaming sleep as humans.
Like it says above, I often cannot recall my dream soon after I've awaken, mostly because I'm already thinking about the day ahead. What about you, do you remember your dreams?
